Watch in High Quality? This is the final project for my audio post-production class at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts. Originally in 5.1 and played at Meyer Hall to a dazed and confused audience of lovely peers. The video clip is a small section of Paul Robertson's genius short film: Kings of Power 4 Billion%. My own sound design was made on Gameboy hardware running a Nanoloop cartridge while the rest of the sound effects were sampled from games such as Kirby's Dreamland, Metroid, Zelda and Megaman X. The music during the crucification scene is a Black Mages rendition of the Final Fantasy Battle theme. As usual with my school projects, I take a concept a little too far. This time I wanted to recreate an entire film sound scape as played through the speaker of a dot matrix LCD Gameboy unit. As a side note, who knew that Kirby's Dreamland had the most killer sound effects ever?
