NS 39G heads east through Emmaus with a great P5 on the lead Dash 8. Sorry about the wind and camera shake. The wind was blowing hard all day, which made shooting video difficult. To make matters worse the wind nearly blew my tripod over twice before this train showed up. At least spring will be here in just over two months... On the evening of January 4, 2009 Emmause fire department was sent to the Colonial Crest Apartments for a structure fire. First arriving crews had smoke showing and after advancing hand lines into the building a second alarm was transmitted due to heavy fire conditions moving through out the walls. While operations where in progress fire was found in the attic area and a third alarm was transmitted. Crews held the fire in check with multiple hand lines inservice during an aggressive interior attack. the fire was brought under control in about an hour and a half.

1st alarm crews made quick work of this fire on the second floor of a duplex in Emmaus Monday Morning. Lehigh County received the call from Allentown Comm Center and struck the box for 125 N. 2nd St. Engines 712, 711, 2821, Rescue 741, Squad 751 and Engine 111 assigned as the R.I.T. Crews stretched 2 handlines to the second floor and made a quick attack to darken down the fire. 3 adults and 1 child were displaced by the fire. The fire was under control in 45 minutes.

Around 19:45 Lehigh County Transmitted a box for Colonial Crest Apartments Building 15 on 10th St. in the borough of Emmaus for a fire in the wall. Police reported smoke showing and first arriving officer struck the 2nd alarm. The fire extended vertically into the cockloft and command struck the 3rd alarm. Crews did a good job at stopping the fire and the truck company made quick work opening up the roof. The apartment building was fully occupied. 12 families were displaced.
