On that Johnny Cash movie, i saw Reese Witherspoon play a lovely rendition of the Carter Family classic, 'Wildwood Flower' on a appalachian harpsichord. Now, I can play THAT...here's my sloppy attempt with a slightly larger movie format size and better lighting than before. There's even titles at the end if you can hold out... Comin at ya from the garden. The banjo is a 12" openback Ramsey 'Amish' model. Mike Ramsey makes excellent old mountain banjos from his Chanterelle studio in Chapel Hill, NC. This banjo has a rolled brass ring. The playing style is called 'frailing' or 'clawhammer' method. As opposed the 3-finger picking that utilizes rolls with finger and thumb picks, frailing is a strum style.

Please SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT SHARE with friends. Lyrics Album: THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY 1974 Band: GENESIS Song: THE CHAMBER OF 32 DOORS At the top of the stairs, theirs hundreds of people, Running around to all the doors. They try to find themselves an audience; Their deductions need applause. The rich man stands in front of me, The poor man behind my back. They believe they can control the game, But the juggler holds another pack. I need someone to believe in, someone to trust. I need someone to believe in, someone to trust. I'd rather trust a countryman than a townman, You can judge by his eyes, take a look if you can, Hell smile through his guard, Survival trains hard. I'd rather trust a man who works with his hands, He looks at you once, you know he understands, Dont need any shield, When youre out in the field. But down here, Im so alone with my fear, With everything that I hear. And every single door, that Ive walked through Brings me back here again, Ive got to find my own way. The priest and the magician, Singing all the chants that they have ever heard; and Theyre all calling out my name, Even academics, searching printed word. My father to the left of me, My mother to the right, Like everyone else theyer pointing But nowhere feels quite right. And I need someone to believe in, someone to trust. I need someone to believe in, someone to trust. Id rather trust a man who doesnt shout what hes found, Theres no need to sell if youre homeward bound. If I chose a side, He wont take me for a ride. Back inside This chamber of so many doors; Ive nowhere to hide. Id give you all of my dreams, if youd help me, Find a door, That doesnt lead me back again take me away.

[68:22] "Let us harvest the crop." [68:23] On their way, they confided to each other. [68:24] That from then on, none of them would be poor. [68:25] They were so absolutely sure of their harvest. [68:26] But when they saw it, they said, "We were so wrong! [68:27] "Now, we have nothing!" They Should Have Said: "God Willing." [68:28] The righteous among them said, "If only you had glorified (God)!" [68:29] They said, "Glory be to our Lord. We have transgressed." [68:30] They started to blame each other. [68:31] They said, "Woe to us. We sinned. [68:32] "May our Lord grant us a better one. We repent to our Lord." [68:33] Such was the requital. But the retribution of the Hereafter is far worse, if they only knew. [68:34] The righteous have deserved, at their Lord, gardens of bliss. [68:35] Shall we treat the Submitters like the criminals? [68:36] What is wrong with your logic? [68:37] Do you have another book to uphold? [68:38] In it, do you find anything you want? [68:39] Or, have you received solemn assurances from us that grant you whatever you wish on the Day of Resurrection? [68:40] Ask them, "Who guarantees this for you?" [68:41] Do they have idols? Let their idols help them, if they are truthful.

Sura - 68 The Pen (Al-Qalam) Order Of Revelation 2, Verses: 52 [68:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful [68:1] NuN*, the pen, and what they (the people) write. [68:2] You have attained a great blessing from your Lord; you are not crazy. [68:3] You have attained a recompense that is well deserved. [68:4] You are blessed with a great moral character. [68:5] You will see, and they will see. [68:6] Which of you are condemned. [68:7] Your Lord is fully aware of those who strayed off His path, and He is fully aware of those who are guided. [68:8] Do not obey the rejectors. [68:9] They wish that you compromise, so they too can compromise. [68:10] Do not obey every lowly swearer. [68:11] A slanderer, a backbiter. [68:12] Forbidder of charity, a transgressor, a sinner. [68:13] Unappreciative, and greedy. [68:14] Even though he possessed enough money and children. [68:15] When our revelations are recited to him, he says, "Tales from the past!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *68:1 ``NuN'' is unique among the Quran's miraculous initials. See Appendix 1. [68:16] We will mark his face. [68:17] We have tested them like we tested the owners of the garden who swore that they will harvest it in the morning. [68:18] They were so absolutely sure. [68:19] A passing (storm) from your Lord passed by it while they were asleep. [68:20] By morning, it was barren. [68:21] They called on each other in the morning.

Take a boat trip on the Grand Canal of China in Suzhou and learn the local life of China. The Grand Canal of China, also known as the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is the longest ancient canal or artificial river in the world. The oldest parts of the canal date back to the 5th century BC, although the various sections were finally combined into one during the Sui Dynasty (581618 AD). The total length of the Grand Canal is roughly 1,770 km (1,114 miles). Its greatest height is reached in the mountains of Shandong, at a summit of roughly 42 m (138 ft). Ships in Chinese canals did not have trouble reaching higher elevations after the pound lock was invented in the 10th century (during the Song Dynasty). The canal's size and grandeur won it the admiration of many throughout history, including the Japanese monk Ennin (794864), the Persian historian Rashid al-Din (12471318), and the Korean official Choe Bu (14541504). Historically, periodic flooding of the adjacent Yellow River threatened the safety and functioning of the canal. During wartime the high dikes of the Yellow River were sometimes deliberately broken in order to flood advancing enemy troops. This caused disaster and prolonged economic hardships. Despite temporary periods of desolation and disuse, the Grand Canal furthered an indigenous and growing economic market of China's urban centers throughout the ages since the Sui.
