This is a news report about the discovery of Metadherin (MTDH) gene as a dual functional gene that is activated in 30-40% of breast cancer patients to promote metastasis and chemoresistance. The discovery was made in Prof. Yibin Kang's laboratory at the Department of Biology, Princeton University. The research was published in the January issue of Cancer Cell.
