Stando a un comunicato degli organizzatori, alla competizione hanno partecipato 80 atleti di 7 paesi. At this, the Second Annual Splash Diving World Cup, teams from Germany, Austria, Australia, Switzerland, the Philippines and the United States fought for the title. Christian Guth from Bavaria succeeded in impressing the jury most andwas elected Splash Diving World Champion. Participants were also asked to take part in a show contest of high diving that involved a dive off a 30 metre diving platform.Only the bravest succeeded, including Australian Joey Zuber who afterwards praised his German rivals in the Splash Diving World Cup.
