The Overlord takes on the former Elven hero, Oberon Greenhaze. The video includes the introduction, so you can see what became of him. The tactics for this boss are relatively easy, since he can't move... being trapped in a TREE and all. Anyway, you need to attack him until the first wave of enemies comes (the giant frogs). Take them out one by one, then get back to Oberon until the next wave of enemies comes. This time it's two unicorns. Try to stay away from their front side, or else they may attack you with their powerful horns. Use whatever minion spell you have at your disposal to boost their attack and defence, reducing the risk of casualties. When you get back to Oberon, four archer creatures will emerge from the ground. Eliminate them by yourself or send the minions on them and start attacking the boss once more. The final wave consists of two forest trolls and two hammer beasts. Take the trolls first, sending a wave of minions at once, to trigger their ground pounding move. If you send the minions one by one, he will punch them to death. As soon as they are preparing to execute the ground pound, call your minions back. If needed, activate a minion spell to increase their attack and send them back immediately after the forest troll hit the ground. Do the same for the other one. The hammer beasts are really easy. just make sure they are separated and then send one minion to attack. As soon as the creature prepares to hit him with the hammer, call him back. Activate a minion spell and then unleash them all on the unsuspecting target. All you have to do now is send your minions to attack Oberon for one last time. Once he surrenders, walk up to him and dispose of him as you wish. Zero casualties among minions and complete efficiency. It helps a lot to have properly equiped minions, so you might want to smash some crates to find weapons and armor for them before you fight the boss. Remember: try to separate the enemies, attack each enemy individually, use the minion spells (but turn the spell off after you no longer need it) and don't forget the weaknesses and strengths of each opponent. There are two minion spawning points on the left side of the battlefield, so you will never run out of minions. But using the above strategy, you won't even need to use them. This will soon be a full playthrough of the Enhanced version of Kings Quest VI for Windows 3.1. My goal will be to upload a piece every day and finish by the end of the year. The Enhanced version of King's Quest VI utilizes a 640x480 resolution, twice that of the 320x240 resolution in the DOS version. The main improvements over the DOS version are smooth, better drawn images of the icon bar, inventory items, and closeups on the characters faces. For better quality, add "&fmt=18" to the end of the URL. The music in this playthrough comes directly from the King's Quest VI Soundtrack, and therefore sounds much better than the basic MIDI output on most computers. This will be a more exhaustive exploration of the game, rather than a direct walkthrough. During my first visit to each screen, I spend much time clicking the various commands all over the screen. However, this is actually a very efficient solution as far as traveling is concerned. For example, I will use the magic map only 13 times, which is the minimum number required to get the top score.
