There is an established relationship between embodied actions carried out in the physical world and 'schema' in the mind/brain. Regular routine behaviours are captured as these schema and act as a kind of 'vocabulary'; so for example, the repeated physical action pattern of setting out from one location, moving along a path, and arriving at another location, is imprinted as a schematic structure within which different content (different locations and spaces) might be placed.
