---READ DESCRIPTION--- The camera died right in the middle of this clip, that's why it's cut short. Sorry you can't see the whole refusal! Had it been one second less it wouldn't have been worth posting but I figured since you can pretty much see him refusing, I might as well post it. Here's what happened after the end of the clip: I ducked to the right of his neck because he planted his feet and swerved left. I just got a little bit off balance but I didn't really come close to falling so it's all good. We came around and did it again and he was good for the most part for the rest of the lesson. This was my second time riding Dakota. Please don't say anything about my sloppy equitation! I realize my hands are planted on his neck and my legs are too far forward and swinging. If you've been following my videos you know that I'm used to riding Ricky who's a lot smaller than Dakota. I'm still getting used to riding a bigger horse. It feels completely different. So this was the first jump of the lesson. It was a tiny jump and he just ran out because I didn't have enough leg on and I was kind of nervous since he had been acting up during the cantering part of the lesson. In the beginning of the lesson he enjoyed a nice quick roll with all his tack on. -.- Luckily he stayed on his knees for a few seconds before going down completely so I could step off.. lol. Watch the video response, it's us cantering. The only other clip I got before the camera died.
