Chapter 17 *with Joe in Joes view* I was just drifting off to sleep when I heard Valeries ringtone. Well, I get to get chewed out again! Lucky me! Joe: hello? Savannah: Joe! Joe! Get over here quick! Joe: Savannah? Savannah: yes you stupid head! Its Valerie! Just get over here! Joe: okay, ill be right there. I hung up and rushed to put on my converse, I was so worried about her. What could have happened? Without saying a word to Kevin or nick where I was going, I ran outside, phone in hand and ran to Brittneys house. I knocked on the door out of breath. Brittney answered and grabbed my hand, pulling me inside. Joe: whats wrong Brittney: just help! She lead me into her room. The first thing I saw was Valerie lying on the bed, not moving. The second thing I saw was Miley. But I pushed her aside and rushed to the side of my best friend. Joe: what happened?! Savannah: she was doing push-ups, then just collapsed. She wont wake up Joe: im taking her to the hospital then! I picked her up in my arms and felt my stitches breaking, but I didnt give a damn. I rushed her outside. Savannah opened her car door. Savannah and Brittney in front, along with Jessica and Miley. I was in the back, Valeries head on my lap stroking her hair, worried sick about her. She just kept her eyes closed. Then I started to softly talk to her Joe: Val, come on wake up. Im sorry about everything, just wake up, please She did nothing. Miley: slap her Joe: im not going to slap her! Just leave me alone and let ME handle this I looked back down at her wondering if she had woken up because of the yelling, but nothing happened. She just lied there, on my lap, quietly. I wonder if she will ever wake up. Joseph dont talk like that!! Joe; Valerie, please. For me, please, please, please, PLEASE wake up I felt tears start to floow from my eyes, I couldnt help it. Still nothing. We pulled up to the emergency and I picked her up, again feeling my stitches breaking. Doctor: whats wrong? Joe: she wont wake up, she just blacked out I guess Doctor: ok, hand her to me and you all take a seat. Joe: wait, I cant leave her Doctor: it wont be long, just calm down and take a seat Everyone sat down except me. I was in pain because of the stitches ripping, and that my best friend could be dead Brittney: Joe, sit down, he said it wont be long Jessica: yeah, dont worry about the bitch and sit your ass down Joe: (I turned to her quickly) dont you EVER say that about her EVER again or I WILL hurt you so you wont EVER leave this hospital. GOT ME??? Jessica; shit calm down *3 hours later* Doctor: if one of you would like to see her, you can Brittney: you go first Joe I followed the doctor to Valeries room. I was scared to go inside Doctor: shes asleep, dont worry, shes fine. She fainted of too much stress, she has a big bruise on her head though but no need to worry about that I walked in. Valerie looked so peaceful sleeping. I pulled up a chair beside her Joe: (knowing she probably couldnt hear him) Valerie, im sorry about this. Its all my fault. Just forgive me, please? I saw her move around a little then open those big beautiful blue eyes of hers Valerie: (smiling) hey
